Yeah... I've met like 2 dudes like Sid that did basically the same shit. I'll never forget one of them, around 20yo, telling the story when they were teenagers of the "funny kitten that they blew up" by shoving fireworks up his ass, the kitten was alive after so they finish the job by kicking it like a ball over the road. The line between creative and fucked up is wide and the point of the movie is to show that Sid is a sadist. Sid having a job is the happy ending.
