I tinkered some more with the atmosphere demo thing. This version has a grid on the ground to show scale. The yellow/pink grid is meters, the green grid is decameters, dark blue is hectometers, and so on. The sky layers have the cloud texture mapped to the layer's UV with two octaves of repeating (so you get larger and smaller clouds overlaid in the same layer), so the scale is kinda nonsense.
