AIP, intending to produce a remake, gave director Larry Buchanan their script for Day the World Ended. The producers evidently failed to provide additional guidance because Buchanan's product is an almost a line-for-line remake.

🦖MONSTERDON 🎞️ 💸 Low Budget Film School Don't let logic cost you additional money. Like American International Pictures. Motivated by the success of their earlier motion picture "Master of the World", AIP had planned to make another film based on a Jules Verne story, "In the Year 2889". But they ended up shelving the project. AIP re-used the title for this *totally unrelated* movie because they had already registered it. #Monsterdon #InTheYear2889
