Have Peter Collinson's #Canterbury tour guide, which I also found when tracking things down.

As you can see from the different years, there, they re-did Rose Lane some time around the turn of the century.
I haven't managed to track down when they redeveloped the #MarloweArcade, but it has also changed name as well as appearance since M. Collinson's latest photograph. Someone who hasn't been there since the 1980s might even never have seen it as it was originally constructed, since it was built in 1985.

Ironically, some of the stuff that @tony@toot.hoyle.me.uk tracked down in Kent Live is about #Whitefriars being taken over so the Council had free rein over its development.

@JdeBP@mastodonapp.uk the 2001 photo of Rose Lane on that site shows that under construction. I was in Canterbury then; this might be why I don't remember the area. @noodlemaz@mstdn.games @tony@toot.hoyle.me.uk @ianbetteridge@social.vivaldi.net
