talking about dysphoria is tricky, because youre almost always talking to three audiences:
trans people well on their way or done, who know what you're talking about already,
cis people, who need to understand what they will never experience, because we need their allyship,
and eggs and new trans people, who have only just realized that they've got a backpack on, or have maybe just started taking some off, but don't yet realize just how many they have to go.

and youre kind of trapped because you want to express to the cis audience how absolutely devastating dysphoria is, how it wrecks lives, how it's almost impossible to operate under. you need to express how staggering the problem is. ...and you also don't want to scare the shit out of the eggs in the audience. or worse, paint a picture so ghastly that they, with all their coping strategies distracting the from their dysphoria, don't recognize what you're talking about. #DysphoriaFuckedMeUp
