@major@fosstodon.org hachyderm.io doesn't seem to have rules on that.

@major@fosstodon.org Why would it be not allowed to write in another language? Or in different ones? I thought Mastodon servers were more likely not to have senseless rules!

@major@fosstodon.org per @mairin@mastodon.ie 's research, which I concur with, any of floss.social (my old instance, moved because they blanket-ban my employer's IP address so it's inconvenient), social.coop (I have an account there and is sort of on their tech WG) and hachyderm.io (rip Kris Nova) would be fine. The first and last have more open source types, the second has non-techies in the cooperatives space as well.

@major@fosstodon.org Perhaps Floss.social too but I'd consider their rules to be extreme.

@major@fosstodon.org my2cc: host yourself a GoToSocial instance... Small and easy to manage, with full freedom to post what you want :-)

@major@fosstodon.org the same happened to me some months ago, so I moved to a different instance. In my case, I just chose an instance that allowed me to toot in both languages, and happened to be super friendly and very well supported by their admins. I didn’t found a FOSS themed instance, though.
