@xorlou@lgbtqia.space @oldladyplays@wargamers.social Enforcing heteronormativity means, through direct and indirect means, that there's more babies to groom (theyre very worried about birth decline, in any facet, due to the coming climate impacts they acknowledge behind closed doors, but reject openly), more men to groom into service, more control over the population, and a creation of a scapegoat to propagandize as "the problem" in order to not only distract, but maintain the hegemony of heteronormativity. The state, as its built and functions, NEEDS heteronormativity to function as it is. It has interwoven nearly all of its systems with it to such an extent that in the event of instability, it becomes one of the first things tightened—nearly always. This is beyond the obvious effect of killing transgender people through lack of care leading to suicide. This is also a feature and intent, but its not the only one, and neither is scapegoating. They dont want their men to be anything but "men" so they can use them in their wars. They dont want their children to be independent because they are instrumental tools for political gain, and future laborers (and trans people tend to be less productive; this is likely due to 'overlapping' neurodivergence). They dont want people to be trans because it risks upending the board.
