I think the momentum and velocity on mainline projects like PMOS is higher at the moment than on UBPorts. So in the next 2-3 years the app ecosystem will overtake the "niche" UBPorts.
I really hope for a good E-Mail client aswell, but it is a big effort.
Maybe also Furilabs will share some of their waydroid fork to get GPS working, should that work without halium.

@chfkch@ruhr.social I do feel the same way, and am very optimistic for pmOS in the long run. Especially given the awesome community around it :) I did research @furilabs@fosstodon.org stuff before, but I did not figure out how to build their Waydroid "Andromeda" fork. I'd love to try it out on pmOS!
