@isagalaev@mastodon.social @niconiconi@mk.absturztau.be The current is still limited, it’s just not limited as much as it would be without the resistors, which are a passive indicator. The voltage is still just 5V so there’s no risk of anything being fried.

@grumpybozo@toad.social Thanks for providing this explanation. Do you know if this deficiency could affect data transfer? I've had issues where I need to find a magic combination of ports and cables to sync my phones with my computer.
