If you say my point is not a core part of the AI discussion, well, maybe, maybe not...
But your way of blocking it feels a bit emotion driven. Like the chain smoker I've described.

@pino@social.cologne @AnachronistJohn@zia.io @jschauma@mstdn.social Ah, see, to me, your "point" sounds like "Why don't we say 'All lives matter?'" derailment. The adoption methodology and general outcome of FB was VASTLY different from AI...and I'm sorry if it hurt you, 15 years ago. FB dumbed down the landscape, for sure...but it didn't directly compete to take away jobs, didn't burn through water at a criminal level, and hasn't been literally proven to make people less able to solve problems.
