@eldritch48@mastodon.social @AnachronistJohn@zia.io @jschauma@mstdn.social It's both about BigTech products, and typical complaints about AI sound very much like what I said about Facebook back then. Usually you can just interchange them verbatim, and nobody would recognize it.
You saying "that's a different topic" is like a chain smoker who rails against alcoholism, and then someone comes along remembering you that your "alcohol" just has another name.
If you're on Instagram, don't complain about the state of the digital world.

As for them being the same...eh. Maybe in terms of purely *your* annoyance, but the socio-ecological implications of AI have kinda been proven to be significantly worse than FB (which is not good). You are looking at one metric and saying "these are the same"...but the sky and the ocean are both blue, but...not the same.
