Picked up this book at the beginning of the month. Dug in to it today. "Tom, the bride's old flame, was strewn upon the ground, tangled up in the wires of his Walk-Man, passed underneath his car." P.33 Reading that passage jolted me, such a visceral bodily response. I'm a sucker for NYRB Classics.
