@NatureMC@mastodon.online @superflippy@mastodon.xyz We can't rely on the USA for science. We shouldn't rely on the USA for science. If a brief gap in science is what is stopping us from decentralising away from the USA, that's not good.

@NatureMC@mastodon.online @rzeta0@mastodon.ie Yes. These are monitoring stations physically off the US coast, but they’re part of a global network of ocean monitoring stations. Ocean waters don’t respect borders!
