Exploration, at its origins, is a ten minute chunk when in dungeons. 5e doesn't make that explicit. Those ten minutes are still a shadow influencing things. Rituals are easy to integrate into exploration challenges as is the old "take 10/20" system that is impossible in Social or Combat situations.

Now, 2024 adds Bastions which are measured in weeks. Other subsystems exist outside of the three pillars exist that are measured in days or weeks as well -- travel, crafting, political machinations, training. Generally these can be lumped into downtime, but I hate that word for the concept of a Fourth Pillar. And so today I ask what is an excellent word for the Fourth Pillar - that being actions and activities that aren't measured in seconds, minutes, ten minutes, but in days and weeks?
