@kevinrns@mstdn.social local PD came and investigated and verified that the room into which the round was discharged was unoccupied at the time. Although, it was a near miss... Someone had been assigned that room by the front desk and was actually in the hallway proceeding towards the room when the agent fired his weapon. The other hotel guest heard the shot and thought some piece of equipment had experienced a catastrophic failure in a wall or something.

The bad news is his superisor said he'd reissue a firearm to him, the next day. That brings two that shouldn't be handling firearms without additional firearm training. Considering the number of ICE officers on site, 2000, I would think that they could spare him, especially now that they been identified publically.
