@cjd@pkteerium.xyz Yes; the navigation is immature and if it loses GPS for a significant period of time (i.e., pathing back and forth under a tree canopy without exiting for 10m), it can on occasion go a little nuts. To get your root shell, flip the unit over (be careful not to scratch it) and remove the bottom plate. Then remove the battery-holder rails and the left wire clamp screw. Then unscrew the galvanized control board and carefully lift the side closest to you. Shine a flashlight in to see UART pins.

    @cjd@pkteerium.xyz CAREFULLY push dupont / clips into/onto the debug interface. Turn it on and check voltages with a multimeter before actually connecting though, because if you short it out it's toast. Once it's booted, the UART shell (1544000 baud) should give you a login. The creds are ubuntu:ubuntu. The first upgrade you take will delete this account, so create a new account and/or change the root pw. SSHd is also disabled by update, so apt install dropbear and configure on non-default port.
