@samwilson@wikis.world @vrandecic@mas.to @kaffeeringe@social.tchncs.de in my case blocking all expensive urls for anonymous users worked during the first part of 2025, but later even this was not enough, things got very hostile (vast numbers of requests from random IP's). At that point Cloudflare and mod_evasive did not help either. Now the wiki is for authenticated users only. There is maniacal level of greed out there. Feels like the end of an era and we have the "AI" bros to thank for that.
