@kravietz@agora.echelon.pl @sebastian@phpc.social I agree with this. I've asked my manager's manager to donate some money to open source contributors whose packages we depend on, and they said it was not possible to make room in the budget.
My point is that (some) software engineers generally get this and would love nothing more than for their company to support open source. Those who decide on budgets, not so much.

Why is that candle at an angle, did it drop on the floor all the way to the breakers? Why put the cubes with letters on the breakers, is it some killer and this is from a horror movie? Or perhaps the person went to the breakers, saw the cubes and is standing there with the mouth open in horror, candle barely held in fingers and making a small pile on the floor.
