@christopher this is Zionism, and there are more Christian Zionists than Jewish ones. Guess you live in the UK so you should know about its origins in England, XVII century. Did you know Oliver Cromwell was one of the pioneers? Then obviously the expulsion of Puritans brought this ideology to the US. Main followers today are Evangelicals, also great Trump supporters.
