@jimsalter@fosstodon.org @shom@gts.shom.dev @fedops@fosstodon.org So I just did: $ systemctl reboot --when=+2min On my Ubuntu 26.04 with plenty of things running and it scheduled it and rebooted as expected. So whatever is going wrong doesn't always happen, at least. Edit: through ssh it fails, because there is a different user session (my desktop) active.

@jannem@fosstodon.org what happens if you add a -f in the command? @jimsalter@fosstodon.org @fedops@fosstodon.org

@jannem@fosstodon.org Yeah, it's usually only gedit's "unsaved changes" popup that does that to me. You can replicate it by popping open a new tab, typing something, then trying to reboot without saving it. It should then fail with the same "inhibited" message. (And you can use gnome-session-inhibit to see exactly what's asking gnome for the inhibit) But if -f is overriding the timer, that's almost certainly a bug, IMO.

@jannem@fosstodon.org @shom@gts.shom.dev @fedops@fosstodon.org it fails on every 26.04 system I have available to check it on. I don't think I've tested it on one with no desktop environment installed, though.
