The ACME protocol runs over HTTP(S).
Yes and that's certainly a choice 🙄 but yeah, it could all be dynamic.
It's just, at some point we'll have to write ACME servers, because everything enshittifies, and I'm not looking forward to it.

@ska@social.treehouse.systems Writing your own ACME server seems rather pointless since your CA wouldn't be trusted by anyone anyway. If the ecosystem enshittifies to the point where there are no viable CAs, then it's time to be done with CAs and use... ...you guessed it... 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 DANE!
