PSA: if a website makes you fill a form with privacy-invading questions, with data that it has no business gathering and will not help you transacting with it, and you can't/don't want to spend time and energy fighting it, calling them, looking for another site, because this is still the most convenient for you... ... it's perfectly okay to lie. Be creative. Have fun. Tell wild tales. Chances are nobody's looking at the information anyway, it's being sold to a data broker....

RE: https://infosec.exchange/@iagox86/116536084585506332 The FRP client is restarted by cron every minute if the process dies. It cannot be stopped without also removing the cron entry or undeploying the Greengrass component. Even if a user or researcher kills the process, it restarts within one minute. So, systemd's NOTIFY_SOCKET readiness notification mechanism has a sort of authentication mechanism by pid: it doesn't like it when the notification is sent from another process than the main one, unless you add the NotifyAccess=all directive. Okay, fair. Except that even with this directive, it still can fail for some reason: if an auxiliary process of the unit sends an sd_notify() message and immediately exits, the service manager might not be able to properly attribute the message t...
