Well, there is a classic truism in economics: 'if it cannot go on forever, it won't'... and that's where the social care crisis is; each Govt. kicks the can down the road hoping that something will turn-up before actually having to deal with it.... but that road (down which the can is being kicked) is itself a cut de sac!

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us All the parties know it’s broken, most probably have some kind of solution that they dare not enact because their focus groups tell them it would be electoral suicide. Meanwhile failure to address the problem leads to ever greater problems in other related areas such as health. I struggle to see how this is going to be resolved without a similarly radical vision as the founding of the NHS 78 years ago.
