All the parties know it’s broken, most probably have some kind of solution that they dare not enact because their focus groups tell them it would be electoral suicide.
Meanwhile failure to address the problem leads to ever greater problems in other related areas such as health.
I struggle to see how this is going to be resolved without a similarly radical vision as the founding of the NHS 78 years ago.
