@dzwiedziu@mastodon.social True. I don't want to defend the author, but how does he retain creative control if he asks somebody else? He could also ask a mechanical engineer to draw these circles, more involved, but same automation. Still the creative process on the artist's side is missing when it is automated.

@ping13@swiss.social The short answer is simple: cooperation. The artist and the engineer cooperate to achieve the desired result or to achieve sth. new. Of course this comes with all the pros and cons of human cooperation. More tech. answer is parametrisation and open sourcing. You allow the program to be tweaked and modified by the end user. Of course this comes with all the baggage above and discussions about interfaces, programming, open source, etc. Both aren't a shortcut in the creative process.
