@hhardy01@mastodon.social I'm not sure what you're trying to say here - yes, Sweden has racists. Yes, Sweden has shifted FAR too far to the right. Taxes have dropped for the richest, and public infrastructure has suffered. And yet it's still way way better here than in the US for the ordinary person. Not perfect. But better. Consequently, I feel, as I've made perfectly clear, that heading down the path being trailblazed by the US would be a Bad Thing. That halt, that moment of reflection, would also, I believe, imply reconsidering whether racism, jingoism and the ethnic cleansing and war that is their ultimate logical step might also be not ideal. Nowhere in the above have I said that Sweden is perfect.
