I will eventually lose my “semi-stealth” status anyway. I will get Looks from people who will only have found out from back channel gossip rather than their own eyes and ears. When I am eventually terminated, as all employees are someday, I will wonder if it was really because of my minority status, or whatever reason was given. But for the moment, the illusion of stability is holding. Why should I end it any earlier?
