@asmodai Not sure of the reason it stopped, some of us kids would game the system by going to the back of the shop and taking a few bottles to another shop for the money, but I suspect it was down to the manufacturers cutting back on the collection costs, and the distribution methods. It was no good sending a Pepsi bottle to Coca Cola so brands had to be stored separately and sorted by the shops…too much like hard work?
