@atomicpoet@mastodon.social @nathan@mastodon.lol them shutting down the server seems like a good idea, considering their mental health. But as a very nice fedi member suggested: the noble option would rather be handing over the server and its responsibilities to someone else given that a lot of people depend on it for their fediverse communication and this breaks their trust, to some degree.

@atomicpoet@mastodon.social @nathan@mastodon.lol a previous post complained about people asking him to ban people for buying a video game. having had a related conversation, I get it. I can't imagine dealing with that, especially when you're sympathetic to their concerns. and then they can organize a bunch of other servers to block yours, which fucks your users. I don't see a technical solution for this. It has to be cultural.
