@Remittancegirl@mstdn.social I mean... From a practical perspective we _are_ functionally cognitively impaired, right? Certainly collectively. But if you let some rich folks spend five fucking decades trying to convince the people who already had a shaky relationship with science that, "Science ain't so great. What if I just punched you in the face," is a legitimate rejoinder during a debate... Well, we wind up _here_. 👀
