I have been sewing without a pincushion and my 11yo decided we needed a hedgehog shaped one so we made it. Not sure we nailed it (the base or nose) but she’s enormously happy. Also it pleases me because I’ve always liked the Danish word for hedgehog pindsvin (literally “stick pig”) and now I have a pindsvin pincushion #handmade #felt #craft

@FrancescaJ@mastodon.nz The nose is almost like the snout of an echidna, though the body proportion is wrong for an echidna. It's taller than it is wide, while echidnas are almost like pancakes that are curled up.
