Realized I've been experiencing some rather intense Character/Identity Bleed from watching a show. I'm trying to read up on it (I find that learning about things helps me deal with them). I'm finding lots about Bleed from role-playing (games/acting) but not much about Bleed from reading/watching. This paper talks about "experiential crossing" from reading, which seems related, although more generalized. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.concog.2017.01.003 Is there a different term for Character/Identity Bleed from reading/watching rather than role-play? Anyone know of any other studies/writings on this?
