It's a big hit but I paid to get that done. Really don't want to get hit with Shingles. I had to pay $400/shot for my semi-annual Prolia shot to avoid further issues with osteoporosis. Luckily, the provincial insurance for seniors seems to cover it. I know it cost the system a lot of cash when I was hospitalized for 3 days, waiting to get my shattered wrist repaired! However, medication coverage is separately, and privately funded.

@EllenInEdmonton@mstdn.ca I dunno how things are there, but in BC a lot of meds are covered by the free pharmacare. Unfortunately, not the shingles vaccine.
