@cavyherd@wandering.shop The remote uses a coin battery. It is not rechargeable, but I've been using mine for two years with the original battery. The remote has a range of 10-15 feet, so it can be used while riding. Each kit comes with a remote, but by default, I bind all kits in an order to a single remote; any additional remotes are backups. I do not sell replacements separately, but given I've only had one order so far, there hasn't been a need for it yet...

@yantor3d@mas.to "... I bind all kits in an order to a single remote; any additional remotes are backups." Excellent! I'll need to come up with a way to make this Not Losable, though. Hm. Maybe a wrist lanyard, & weld the muscle memory to my keychain management. (I'd hang it on my keychain, but it looks to big for that.) (Oh! No: just give it a bead chain leash & marry it to my cellphone habit. That'll work.) (Did I mention I also have ADHD? Brains are So Much Fun™)
