@bosquebill@techhub.social I was once in Tusayan at the south rim, waiting in line at the grocery store there. There was a calendar or something on display at checkout showing the Grand Canyon with a tiny glimpse of the Colorado River at the bottom. The guy in front of me, an American tourist exclaimed, "There's a river in there?" I wonder how many people who have looked into the canyon from the vantage point at Bright Angel Lodge would also be surprised to see that it was carved out by a river.
