Last year 54% of all new industrial robot installations in the world were from China. 70% of all the world's high speed rail lines are in China; its latest model recently set a record of 453 kph. It's building more nuclear power plants than the rest of the world combined. You think the US still has a lead in AI ? "While the American giants (OpenAI, Google) lock down their models and charge developers high fees for tokens or usage credits, China has bet on open-source and rock-bottom prices" - earlier this year OpenRouter found that all six of the top AI models used by developers were Chinese.
