my current desk has a bunch of issues It is a pretty old flat-pack desk, and sags a bit in the middle due to years of use with a monitor stand then it has drawers, which while I do like them, I feel like it is terrible for ergonomics ? Or maybe my chair/armrest heights are all out of spec any design would need a cable management solution. I kinda like my current desk because it has a vertical beam along the back which is support for the flat-pack top but also basically serves as a cable management system via hooks/velcro/etc, very flexible. The biggest trick is probably proper support for the monitor arms so a long-term load won't cause warping/flex/etc issues. One idea is to use metal legs on the end, then run steel across to connect them and build a desktop that just sits on the frame. The bolt for the monitor arms would supported by the beams?
