In countries like Australia, public events open by acknowledging the indigenous peoples of the land.
Similarly, a law should be passed so that anyone espousing the virtues of AI should begin by acknowledging the copyrighted material stolen and the wilful damage to the environment (and preferably the now jobless too).

@Richr@mastodon.social we spent time in Brisbane and Adelaide two years ago and it was remarkable how many times this was acknowledged by everyone. It was fantastic. Wife at high school here emphasizes this every day to students.
