@AlanJP@mastodon.social @grimmy@mastodon.social it's possible to mitigate a lot of the crawlers with Caddy alone, three ifs in a trenchcoat can do a surprisingly good job.
Maybe that's enough?
Iocaine can do more, but it is one extra service.

@algernon@come-from.mad-scientist.club @AlanJP@mastodon.social the vast majority of the problematic bots are random apnic up addresses that are unique and using browser user agent strings. For now Anubis seems to be the only solution that actually works.
