@SteveRudolfi@mastodon.social The point of this seems to be to prevent YOU from doing it, without paying them. If you or your provider get the bright idea to do anything like this, you'd have to pay them some kind of licensing fee. Or, you can NOT pay them, and instead have a boring 404 page like everyone else who doesn't want to pay them. It's a form of enshittification, to be sure. But mostly just a crass money grab.
