You can also recommend credit unions too. I’ve been with my bank for 20 years and although it will be annoying as hell to change, right now I’m pissed and motivated after how they’ve treated my kid.

@LibraryAndTea@ottawa.place I've been with Tangerine for about a decade as they offer free no monthly fees accounts with no required minimum balance and online sign up. I also have credit cards / accounts with Scotia, CIBC, and MBNA, but wouldn't recommend them. But I think the lesson for the kid should be to always be checking your account. They're all going to exploit the shit out of you and cut you off the second you aren't profitable to them, none should be trusted.
