@coral For a while I split the difference and had a driver's license with x and a passport with my birth sex, under the idea that I could present the right thing in each moment. Never really worked out like that but it was a theory that I'd be more likely to encounter a hostile passport control border guard than a hostile local traffic cop? Everything is in my birth sex now as I was forcibly re-gendered when moving internationally - they only accepted passport as valid identity proof at the dmv here.
