Does anyone have the chart with like artistic execution and artistic perception trading places as both climb? Because I feel like I'm in that zone where I perceive how much better I could be but can't execute on it. Watching youtube videos and getting pumped up about techniques and then feeling stuck on the actual in-progress work

Anyway, I'm about 75% done with the Talos but I also assembled the razorwing and did like 15% of the painting (stuff that would be harder/impossible to paint when fully assembled). It's going to have a different color scheme, the one I plan to use for Kabalite warriors when I eventually get some of those. Dark eldar raiding parties include multiple factions because the kabals, wych cults, Haemonculus covens, and incubus shrines are non-overlapping parts of society, so I plan to have different colors for each (that should hopefully look good together) because I am that kind of sicko.

@funkula@goblin.camp the two techniques that are easy and create great looking minis are glazing (thin transparent layers, usually darker) and drybrush (paint so thick it is almost dry, very little of it, applied like you're dusting, with a fucked-up brush). Glaze to give shadows and dimension, drybrush texture and highlights
