@shafik@hachyderm.io and that to combat misinformation you need to actually invest in access to education (beyond just technical education) and you also need to have a workable story for people about their future not just facts.
One of the bigger failures was touting positive jobs numbers without having a story for addressing the cost of education, healthcare, workers rights, etc... (Harris got started on that but she started late and was handed a limp fish to work with)

@wronglang@bayes.club Yes, I bemoan constantly that almost no one gets economics at all, even otherwise well educated folks. We have failed out people educationally in many many ways. I think Harris did an admirable job but the story on economics was not strong and that turned into their undoing. I don't think anyone has good answers here. Sanders and Warren have better ideas but folks don't find what they are selling palatable.
