@corin_ja@mastodon.social @scottsantens@hachyderm.io will give that a read - I was lucky enough to hear Joepsh Stiglitz give a lecture (for interested lay folk like me) on UBI . Eye-opening. A good, impassioned explanation from someone who both a) totally understands concepts and ramifications and b) can get them across to an audience is all that is needed to convince almost anybody.

Unless I have got the wrong end of the stick we could say the same for UK Sports guarantee of a basic income and support for its track cyclists in early years of this century. A sport which was very difficult to make a living from but required a serious percentage of one's time. They provided long term income and training without needing to have a "real job" . Athens London Beijing Olympics etc huge success.
