It rankles that Binium Girmay (an Eritrean cyclist - the first black African to win GT stage and Classic) always is referred to as Biniam or Binny whilst the others are almost always referred by their surname ( or given and surname). It feels disrespectful that the black African is given less regard than the other riders. I hope there is another reason I'll

I like and appreciate the new Bansky Lots of the press photos don&#39;t show that the figure is stepping off the edge blinded by his flag. It&#39;s in a row with lots of vainglorious monuments to war and fighters.

#parisroubaix #pr #hellofthenorth #enferdenord If northern France is like London today weather wise tomorrow (and it is normally a lot windier and colder in Spring) then Paris Roubaix is gonna hurt. Really nasty gusts of wet wind on my trip across town to run some errands. Feels 15 degrees cooler than midweek and the gusts are at least 20-25 kmph

@CaringKinderSociety@aus.social They are amazing - cannot see enough of the vessel to see if they are azipods (horizontally rotating electric motors under the hull) or azimuthing rotors (similarly rotating propellers but driven by main engine in the ship itself). Some of the big cruise ships and mega yachts use them - but none of those are as manouvrable as a flat bottomed tugboat
