@wagesj45@mastodon.jordanwages.com @FlockOfCats@famichiki.jp Ah ,got it. I think tech has gotten to the point where people equate it to just another appliance. Toaster, refrigerator, computer, it's all the same to most people.

@rnDoug@hometech.social Agreed. And I'm being somewhat hypocritical in that I am that way about a lot of things, like my car or dish washer. But I do recognize that this makes me vulnerable to either being preyed upon by those that would make them "cheap and easy" or have to be willing to pony up for expertise when I need it. I don't expect things to be free, easy, and non-exploitive; I make concessions.
