  Took a lot of work, but finally got hardware accelerated video decoding working in #Waterfox with #NVIDIA on #Linux. Stale packaging in #Mint bit me in the ass and I had to rebuild the `nvidia-vaapi-driver` from source to get the newest version that finally worked with the v595 graphics driver. Feeling pretty smug right now. :smug:

  My local library has a nice calendar page with event filters for age group, location, etc. But no #RSS or #ICS feed, just non-standard #HTML formatted search results. So I'm currently wrangling #Codex into writing a middle-man service that uses ReaderLM-v2 to standardize the results into json, which can then be served as ICS data for calendar readers. https://huggingface.co/jinaai/ReaderLM-v2

  Even though I'm a believer in (the truth of) the Hasanabi Doctorine, but I'm not sure that #Iran really needs a nuclear weapon if they can shut down a single waterway, bomb a couple of oil refineries in neighboring countries, and bring about the end times. Seems like that *is* their nuke.
