I am using illustrations from a book as characters in my game. My son (11) saw me screenshotting and cutting the pictures. "Mum, you can't do this! You will get into trouble with the copyright!" Said book is from 1855. He was only happy after looking up how long copyright holds him self. I think the kids will be alright.
