I would probably think the same if I didn't have a very good friend who is a huge slasher movie fan. I went to see the Halloween movies with him and throughout all 3 films it felt like the story never even started. Then I watched the Terrifier with him and realized, that's just what slasher movies are. No story. Just people getting murdered. Not a fan.
